"Only that something's... up." says Suula. "And more than the usual yokels being yokels. Sick cows, an absentee mayor, guards who only care for the general store, a kooky sage, and only the cleric with his head screwed on. Either we set out and look for something out of this dumb place..." Suula thinks. "Or we put our foot down... and rule."

Slade stared at the head dress the party had passed on to him. It was fashioned in the shape of a white tiger's head and fit rather snugly over his own head. Wearing it, he definitely felt more cat-like, more agile and fluid in his movement. However, the color had to be changed; the white contrasted starkly with his darkened armor and black cloak. Yes, he would have to look into getting it dyed whenever they got to a decent sized town.

"We've a lead. Ain't much of one, but it's something at least. This woodsman, or whatever he is, might be able to help us figure out what's going on 'round here seeing as how our 'investigating' is turning up a whole bunch of nothin'. If nothing comes of it, little Miss Sneak may have to ply her trade at that old biddy's house. I still think the old crone is involved with all of this somehow."

"Of course you do," Nihmri said, with a profoundly theatrical sign. "You can't stand meeting people who are every bit as stubborn as you are. It's one of your most obvious character flaws, you know. But you're right about one thing, at least - this blasted woodsman seems to be our best lead. It's funny how an aspiring goblin scholar of all things might turn out to be the most useful out of all the locals, no?"

"Clandestine meetings in the forest.. I'm sure this will be illuminating one way or another. They would certainly seem to be our top suspects for any sort of conspiracy."

"It's a bit difficult to see why the town leader would be wandering out there if nothing else," added Shanni. "You called it Sis," she continued, "I know we're from the big city and all, but even there belongings were important. If your animals were sick you paid attention." She paused. "That rule bit though? No, not that." She paused again. "If only because they don't have enough bathing facilities out here."
