The party has returned to Tallwell in the early hours of the morning, having found evidence that the abandoned Hallton manor had been temporarily occupied by a person rather than a ghost. Dermot tracked a recent trail back to the village, where rains washed away any further signs. After querying the innkeeper and his wife and searching the inn, the group has ruled out anyone staying there - they being the only guests - but otherwise their quarry remains elusive.
