Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread
Moderator:Lazybones
Leo slipped his ale and listened to the others for a bit before chipping in.
I say Thrace first. I'm tired of caves and dungeons and it sounds like it'll be on walk in the country. The women are hot too. After that, we can sail to Crete and loot their maze, or whatever. Last, we can sail on to Egypt and see what we can wring out of the merchants. The first two stops we're being invited by kings, so in a position to ally with Argos and they're both closer, so can lend aid more immediately than far off Egypt.

[OOC]
I won't be able to join this week's game. I could join, but would have to leave after a half-hour or so, so I'll cy'all next time. Don't have too much fun without me.

"Yeah, it does sound a bit like the Gods talking," Polytropos admitted, scratching the back of his head. "It sounds like them saying 'you lot should go get eaten by a minotaur'." He spends a few moments thinking, listening to Leo's proposal, looking like a man caught between a whirlpool and a cliff face.
Eventually, he suggests a compromise. "How about we don't plan ahead too much? We can... we can go to Crete first, as it's closest. Then, we're in Crete, and it's a natural mid-point. We can sail to Egypt or Thrace, either one'd be more or less the same distance from Crete... I guess."
He takes a breath. "On the other hand, it sounds as if people are actually getting killed in Thrace. I dunno."

Kataramene flashes a bright smile at Polytropos which fades a little as he finishes, being replaced by a thoughtful look at his final words. "I didn't think of it that way, it sounded more like raids, but now you mention it.... do you think it could be more serious than it sounds and more urgent because of it?"

Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread
"It is hard to say," Eleni sighed. "As I've said, this curse in Egypt and the troubles with the labyrinth - they could be every bit as dire a threat as any army of beastmen. No matter our choices, we risk finding nothing but ashes in whatever place we visit last. The more I think about it, the more I become convinced this was a decision the Council was simply too cowardly to make for themselves..."
She shook her head. "At any rate, Pol's idea of going to Crete first, then on to Egypt and then back north again might be our best bet, if we are looking to be efficient about this."

((What'd I miss? Did you guys make it to the boat?))
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread
((On the boat, and talked to the King. Just setting out but haven't left the city so will pick up Damian on the way past. He was made poorly by the boat ride and his bear was comforting him.
))
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread
((I have no idea where you guys went.
))
Damian laid down on his back in the cargo hold trying to keep the contents of his stomach inside him. He started as a large, wet tongue started to lick his face. He feebly attempted to push Aias away, but in his current state, his friend would have none of it. After he was thoroughly washed to the bear's satisfaction, Aias laid down with his head on Damian's chest. Damian sighed and scratched Aias' ears before falling back asleep. The boat seemed to have stopped rocking, hopefully his stomach would cease as well soon.
